Hi, nice to meet you! I’m Efrat, a graphic designer by profession.
I’ve been given the great privilege of taking part in the moving memorial project “Ot Hayim,” which preserves the handwriting of our fallen heroes of blessed memory and allows them to leave their mark on the world—something I hope brings even a small measure of comfort to their dear families.
The first font I had the honor to create was based on the handwriting of Staff Sergeant Itay Yehuda of blessed memory, a brave and cherished soldier who was killed by an anti-tank missile hitting a Namer APC in the northern Gaza Strip. The process was deeply emotional—a great pain mixed with a sense of mission—knowing that a part of him is being preserved and lives on even after his passing. I hope that this brings some comfort and joy to his family and loved ones, even if only a little.
After that, I had the privilege of creating additional fonts במסגרת the project, and I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to be a partner and take part in this incredible initiative.
Thank you to the project team and to the amazing Elron who guided the process ♥️
