Ot.Hayim Fonts at design

Uriya Ben David

A visual communication student at Bezalel, designer and typographer.
Twenty-four years old, married, and living in Kibbutz Migdal Oz.

I have loved letters for as long as I can remember and find deep meaning in them, which is why I was deeply moved to join the Ot.Hayim project. I had the privilege of commemorating the handwriting of my friend Eitan Rosenzweig, of blessed memory, who was a gifted artist. Eitan’s handwriting was almost illegible, so we chose to commemorate him through the sacred scribal script that appeared in his works, especially in his life’s creation, “Kuma, Eyelids and Ink”.

In addition, I worked on commemorating the handwriting of another hero whom I had the honor to meet, Rabbi Avi Goldberg, of blessed memory. Through Rabbi Avi’s handwriting, I learned more about who he was. He was a sensitive educator, a person who lived connection and unity, whose guiding principles in life were mission and faith.
