Youngest daughter of her parents, Tali and Meir, and sister of Niv.
A beautiful child, an outstanding student – diligent, organized, intelligent, and kind-hearted. She grew up and was educated in Ganei Tikva. She attended the Rimonim elementary school in Kiryat Ono and the Ganim school in Ganei Tikva, and completed high school at Ben Zvi in Kiryat Ono.
From a young age she was strong-minded and assertive. She guided children in the Scouts youth movement and later served as troop leader in the On tribe of Kiryat Ono. Her mother shared: “She was a perfectionist in her studies and very orderly. Her room was always neat and organized. She had a strong sense of aesthetics and it mattered to her that everything was in its place.”
She was a devoted daughter and a loving sister. Family meant a great deal to her, and she made sure to attend family gatherings and the Friday night Kiddush.
After her studies she enlisted in the IDF and served as a field observer at the Re’im base in the Gaza Division. She saw her role as a mission and approached it with full seriousness. After her discharge she traveled for eight months in South America. The trip strengthened her confidence and independence. Upon returning, she moved to Tel Aviv and studied in a Pilates instructor course in Givatayim. She regularly trained her friends and was about to receive her certification. At the same time, she worked at the Hotel Montefiore restaurant in Tel Aviv. During a trip to Brazil she discovered footvolley, and in her free time she loved playing with friends and enjoying sunsets by the sea.
Dorin was full of energy and joy for life. She loved dancing, music, and extreme sports. She was warm-hearted and surrounded by friends, spreading light wherever she went and always expressing gratitude. She stood out as a loyal and devoted friend. Her friend Inbar wrote: “Somewhere around age 13 you changed my life from end to end, with your bursting energy and magical heart. Suddenly I received a superpower called Dorin. Our bond cannot be explained, only felt. We grew while holding hands, and all my key memories are colored with you. You felt me even before I could find the words. You were my refuge in dark moments and the keeper of my deepest secrets.”
On the morning of October 7, when rockets began to fall from Gaza and she was at the Nova festival, she gathered her belongings and got into a car with two friends. When they reached Route 232, terrorists opened fire on them. Dorin was murdered on her way home from the Nova festival, where she had been scheduled to work as a bartender. She was 23 years old. She was first listed as missing, and after several days her family received the devastating news. Her friend Lior, who was with her, was also murdered, and her friend Eden was kidnapped.
Her family initiated an annual beach volleyball tournament in her memory.
May her memory be a blessing.
