I’m Dorit, a graphic and UX/UI designer.
I build brands, design websites, apps, and more.
I’m 43 years old, married, and a mother of three.
I live in Kibbutz HaHotrim and enjoy life by the sea.
On Memorial Day, I came across the Ot.Hayim project and began using its fonts in my designs.
Each time I shared a design with a family, I felt I had managed to bring a tiny drop of comfort into their darkness and pain.
Through my work, I always seek ways to spread light and give selflessly.
A few months ago, my friend Hadas asked for help finding a font designer to create a typeface based on the handwriting of Omri Schwartz z”l, her nephew who fell in Gaza about a year and a half ago.
I immediately decided to take on the task myself — even though I had never designed a font before (I do tend to jump into the deep end).
It felt like a great privilege to be part of this wonderful initiative, one that immortalizes Omri’s handwriting — a “sun child” — and shares his light with the world.
It was a deeply moving and powerful process, and I look forward to continuing to take part in this meaningful project.
A heartfelt thank-you to the project team for their guidance and support throughout the journey.
