From a young age, Sivan set himself the goal of reaching an elite combat unit. During his military service, he joined the Egoz Unit in the Commando Brigade, where he stood out for his physical and mental strength, as well as his ability and desire to connect with his team. His blond hair, blue eyes, radiant smile, and unique personality led his friends to call him “the sun.”
On October 7, 2023, following the terrible terror attack, Sivan fought in the battle to liberate Kissufim as a fighter in the Commando Brigade’s Egoz Unit, saving many lives together with his team. In January 2024, during the fighting in Gaza, he was required to undergo surgery and rehabilitation, but he continuously awaited the opportunity to return and fight alongside his comrades. On March 29, 2024, during a battle in Khan Yunis, the entire team was struck by a missile fired by Hamas terrorists. Alon Kudryashov, “Kudri,” was killed on the spot, and Sivan was critically wounded. Thanks to his almost legendary physical and mental strength, Sivan remained alive for several more days, giving his family and friends the opportunity to say goodbye.
