My name is Hila Schory, originally from Tel Aviv and currently living in Petach Tikva. I’m married and a mother to four boys and a girl.
Today, I specialize in unique branding as well as website design and development.
I’ve always drawn and illustrated—for as long as I can remember. Alongside all the technical aspects and my command of various design software, calligraphy allows me to continue creating freely and fluidly, connecting the soul to the pen and the screen.
For me, design is both a profession and a passion, both science and soul.
I discovered the initiative through artworks I came across, and immediately felt this was my place—to combine my skills with the mission of commemorating the fallen.
I began with the “Months of the Year” project, using the handwriting of Uriah Mash, created within the Ot Chaim initiative by Shana Koppel. From there, I knew—this is my letter—and I set out to design a font as part of the project.
It was both an obligation and an honor for me to carry on the voices of the fallen—especially when it’s a request from the families and for their sake.
I hope that through my part in the larger puzzle of Ot Hayim, more creators will join in, and together we’ll amplify the song of life that cannot be silenced, and the spirit that cannot be broken.
