Anar was born in Jerusalem on March 12, 2001, to Shira and Moshe – the eldest of seven children.
He was raised on the values of love for the land, giving, and creativity.
Anar studied at Himmelfarb High School in Jerusalem and later joined the HaEmek pre-military academy in Kibbutz Kfar Ruppin.
From the age of six, he played the piano, composed music, and wrote songs. Over time, he built a home recording studio and recorded his own music there.
Alongside his musical talent, Anar served as a combat soldier in the Nahal Reconnaissance Unit, where he stood out for his leadership and sense of responsibility.
On October 7, 2023, during the Hamas attack, Anar was on leave and attending the Nova music festival near Kibbutz Re’im. When he heard about the attack, he immediately rushed to help and was called by his commander toward the Sufa base. On his way, he stopped at a roadside shelter near Re’im, joining 24 people who had escaped the festival.
Standing at the entrance, he calmed everyone inside and shielded them with his body. Anar pushed away eight grenades thrown by Hamas terrorists – the eighth exploded in his hand, killing him instantly. He was 22 years old.
Through his act of heroism, Anar saved the lives of ten people.
His bravery became a symbol of courage and selflessness.
After his death, his family continues to honor his memory through the music he left behind, releasing two albums of his songs: “Introduction to Anarchism” and “Searching for Love.”
May his memory be blessed.
