Ot.Hayim Fonts at design

Yamit Fridman

A mother of three – two soldiers and one teenager – living in Moshav Ein Iron.
For many years, she has worked as a parenting coach and speech therapist, and in recent years has also pursued graphic design.

About a year ago, she began studying in Elron’s font design course (“HaFonton”), fulfilling a longtime dream to learn how to design typefaces. She has always been drawn to handwriting – to observing the shapes of letters and connecting them to the writer’s character.

After joining the course, she discovered the Ot.Hayim project and realized that participants could turn the handwriting of fallen soldiers into fonts.
That discovery was deeply moving – it felt like finally finding a way to make a personal contribution to what’s happening in the country, to channel great pain into something meaningful and lasting.
