Neta was born and raised in Kibbutz Kfar Aza on November 9, 2001. He loved life—he loved playing soccer and brewing beer. He deeply loved his family, his home in Kfar Aza, and above all, he loved Iran.
On the morning of October 7, Neta and Iran were hiding in the safe room of an apartment in the “Young Generation” neighborhood. Neta learned that his grandmother, Bella, had been murdered, followed by the news of the death of his uncle, Ofir, and the injury of his cousin, Nitzan.
Shortly after 11 a.m., three armed terrorists entered the apartment and called out in Hebrew, “Come outside.” Neta stood at the entrance of the safe room. When the terrorists came in and threw a grenade toward Iran, Neta shouted “Grenade!” and leapt onto it. As he jumped, the terrorists shot him. He was killed instantly. He gave his life to save hers.
Neta left a huge void and endless longing in all of our hearts.
