Uri was born and raised in Midreshet Ben-Gurion.
He was a child of giving — gentle-hearted, kind, wise, handsome, caring, talented, a true friend, full of love, with a deep desire to make an impact.
He was raised to be independent in thought and creativity, to shape his life in ways that would bring meaning and joy both to himself and to those around him.
Uri was a gifted composer, creating complex musical works, among them the beautiful piece “The Rhythm of the Heart.”
He chose to spend a year of volunteer service in Jerusalem, and later joined a Nahal Garin. Uri captured the hearts of the youth he guided. He went on to serve as a company commander and combat soldier in the Nahal Brigade’s 50th Battalion.
On the 20th of Iyar, 5784 (May 28, 2024), during an operational mission in Rafah as part of the “Iron Swords” War, a large explosive device detonated inside an UNRWA clinic near the Philadelphi Corridor where he was stationed. Uri was killed. He was only 21 and a half years old.
May his memory be blessed.
