Livnat grew up in Kiryat Ono, the daughter of Zamaret and Yoav, and sister to nine brothers and sisters.
Livnat was a great light. Loving, warm, full of joy and faith in goodness. She believed in the goodness within people and that every person carries a story within them, and would often say: “Do not judge anyone, you never know what they’re going through.”
She loved discovering worlds – traveling, meeting people, savoring every moment and experiencing life with a kind and open heart. She had a gift for bringing warmth and love wherever she went – through a smile, attentive listening, a cake lovingly baked, or a kind word.
Livnat loved to bake and dreamed of opening her own café – rustic, quiet and calm. A small place filled with the smell of coffee and warm pastries, gentle music and an atmosphere of love. She did not get to fulfill this dream.
On the seventh of October, Livnat was at the Nova party near Reim. When the attack began, she tried to escape the area and reached a roadside shelter at the Reim-East junction, where she sought cover along with other young men and women. The shelter was attacked with gunfire and grenades thrown inside by the terrorists. Livnat was killed by the explosion of a grenade along with 26 other young people. She was listed as missing for 11 days, and on the 11th day – which fell on her 27th Hebrew birthday, the 2nd of Cheshvan (17.10.23) – her body was identified and the family received the tragic news.
Her brother wrote: “Our family’s beloved girl is simply gone. Her kind and beautiful face remains only in pictures. We had a loving bond as siblings, and the story of her loss never leaves my mind.”
Livnat is survived by her parents, her nine siblings, and many friends and acquaintances who loved her and mourn her deeply.
Livnat continues to live within us forever, every time we embrace her way of life.
Her legacy is unconditional love, wholehearted giving, and faith in the goodness within every person.
Continue to keep Livnat’s spirit alive – look at the world with kind eyes, choose love, and find the light hidden within each person.
May her memory be a blessing.
